Code of Conduct


The history and reputation of Hampton United Cricket Club (HUCC) are pivotal to its ongoing success and association within the Cricket and Local Community. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior of not only our players but also their families, partners, and supporters, all of whom are expected to abide by this code.


Code & Behaviour

  • Always play within the spirit of the game of Cricket.
  • Respect the opposition and officials at all times.
  • Respect and support your fellow club members.
  • Applaud good performances and encourage good sportsmanship from club and opposition players.
  • Respect fellow and opposition players regardless of their gender, age, cultural background, or ability.
  • Do not use foul language or racial vilification towards any player, spectator, official, or visitor.
  • Encourage and protect juniors playing in senior teams for and against HUCC.
  • Support the club in its endeavors to be a ‘Good Sports Club’ addressing drug and alcohol issues.
  • Abide by the rules of the association (SECA).

HUCC Risk Management Plan

1. Purpose

To remind players and the club that Risk Management and the safety of players and spectators is the responsibility of all players and the club.

2. Risk Management

Designated Risk Management Officer: Brett Johnston (Level 3 Safety / First Aid).

3. Ground & Facility Report

Cricket Australia “Game Day Checksheet” to be completed each day of play.

4. First Aid Kits

  • Main First Aid Kit to be kept at the clubrooms.
  • Mobile kits to be carried by the team playing.
  • Sunscreen provided by the club – Available at the clubrooms.
  • Ice packs – Available at the clubrooms.
  • Emergency numbers – Available at the clubrooms.

5. Players Equipment

The club to supply team equipment packs in good condition (Players to provide their own helmets).

6. Heat Policy

All teams (Junior & Senior) to comply with the SECA heat policies.

7. Juniors in Senior Matches

SECA guidelines and policies to be followed.

8. Insurances

Public Liability Insurance current.

9. Working With Children Check

The club to maintain an up-to-date register of players and officials with WWCC.
